The Gitzo GT5563GS Systematic Series 5 Carbon Fiber Tripod is designed to meet demands for excellent stability for heavier load, incredible height, and ease of transporting it to wherever it is needed. Designated as "Giant" with a large top casting and a six-section design that reaches a staggering maximum height of 278cm, the GT5563GS can also be flexibly reduced to a minimum height of a 10cm and a folded length of 73cm for storing and transportation. This high capacity tripod with Carbon eXact tubing provides a rigidly strong stable support for a maximum load of 40kg, all while maintaining a minimal weight of 3.56kg itself. The GT5563GS's top casting element can open and close to permit the tripod to be fitted with a flat disk, geared or sliding center column, video half-ball adaptor, levelling base, or other Systematic accessories.

As part of the Systematic line, this giant of a tripod boasts a range of useful and unique set of patented features representing Gitzo's strive for professional quality. Besides the aforementioned Carbon eXact tubes that are characterised by rigidity and lightweight, the complementary G-Lock Ultra twist-locks maintain stable, solid connections between leg sections and minimise joint damage by blocking out dirt, dust, and moisture. To further enhance stability and agility on most surfaces, each leg on the tripod features a 50mm rubber articulating foot. A 3/8"-16 Easy Link attachment thread on the base of the tripod enables users to connect a variety of accessories to the tripod, such as magic arms, shoe adapters, LED lights, monitors, and more.
