A versatile camera support option, the 290 Xtra Carbon Fibre Tripod with Ball Head from Manfrotto extends from 35 cm to a maximum height of 179.5 cm, and is capable of supporting up to 5 kg of gear. The tripod's 3-section legs feature tension-adjustable flip locks to individually control the height of each leg, while four leg angles allow the tripod to be easily positioned. An additional rubber grip on one of the legs makes for a better grip when carrying the tripod, and rubber feet keep it stable on slippery surfaces.

The included 496RC2 Compact Ball Head is constructed of die-cast aluminium and features an RC2 quick-release plate for fast and easy camera attachment. A single repositionable locking lever controls movement, while ±90° tilt movement and friction control makes it easier to achieve precise positioning. Also included with the tripod is a shoulder bag for easy transport.
