GFX 100 + GF 32-64mm f/4 R LM WR
Medium Format Mirrorless Camera Body & G-Mount Wide Angle Zoom Lens Kit
In this kit, the Fujifilm GFX 100 is paired with the GF 32-64 mm f/4 R LM WR wide-angle zoom lens.
Featuring a generously sized 43.8 x 32.9mm BSI (Backside Illuminated) CMOS sensor and an exceedingly high 102MP resolution, stills of impressive image quality are enabled. Combined with the utilisation of X-Processor 4, the GFX 100 is capable of producing 16-bit raw stills that has both a wide dynamic range as well as a broad sensitivity range of ISO 100-12800, and continuous shooting of up to 5fps. The BSI sensor design increases the amount of light captured, thus contributing to much higher clarity and improved colour reproduction in most lighting conditions. The larger individual pixel size further improves light gathering, allowing for smoother tonal and colour transitions that not only contribute to the characteristic medium format profile, but also support usage of a range of traditional medium and large aspect ratios on top of the standard 4:4. Incorporating an expansive 3.76m-point phase-detecttion autofocus system, the sensor design enables fast and accurate AF performance and subject tracking for both stills and video.
Of note, the GFX 100 is the first mirrorless medium format camera body to incorporate a built-in 5-axis sensor-shift image stabilisation. Capable of minimising the appearance of camera shake by up to 5.5 stops, it complements the sensor's ability to capture an incredible amount of data of high quality and is especially beneficial when working in conditions with poor lighting and at slower shutter speeds. Futhermore, this stablisation system is flexible enough to partner any lens, including non-stabilised ones.
The GFX 100 is equally impressive in its video capabilities. Its large sensor size is further utilised for internal UHD and DCI 4K30p video recording at up to 4:2:0 10-bit or 4:2:2 10-bit via HDMI output while the speed of the X-Processor 4 provides fast read speeds during 4K video recording. A F-log gamma setting is also available to support more advanced colour grading when editing. The incorporation of a 3.5mm microphone jack and a 3.5mm headphone jack allows for more advanced audio solutions.
Wrapping up the GFX 100 imaging system in functional style is the lightweight and durable magnesium alloy body construction that is weather- and dust-resistant, as well as being freezeproof to a low -10°C, for working in inclement conditions. Futhermore, this body is built as a completely separate structure from the imaging unit for increased protection and minimisation of resolution degradation from external stress. The camera also features a unique ergonomic built-in vertical grip to improve handling, whether shooting in vertical or horizontal orientation. The grip also has the capacity for two batteries, thus providing for longer shooting sessions. Improving the ease of shooting from any angle, GFX 100 is also desgined with a unique removable 5.76m-dot high resolution OLED electronic viewfinder that can be used with an optional tilt adapter. Alternatively, the three-way tilting design of the rear 3.2" 2.36m-dot touchscreen LCD supports shooting from both high and low angles, including in the vertical orientation. A smoother workflow is further enabled by customisable dials for adjusting exposure settings and two smaller LCD screens at the top and bottom for efficient and quick checking of settings and exposure data. Last but not least, an integrated Bluetooth 4.2 energy and Wi-Fi not only allow you to share images to a mobile device, it also gives you the flexibility of remotely controlling your camera via the device.
The accompanying GF 32-64mm f/4 R LM WR from Fujifilm is a versatile 25-51mm equivalent lens for the G-mount GFX camera system. With a focal length range covering wide-angle to normal-length perspectives and a constant f/4 maximum aperture for consistent performance throughout the zoom range, it is well-suited to a variety of applications. The optical system features a construction of 11 groups and 14 elements; each using one of the three types of lens elements, aspheric lens, ED lens and super ED lens, including the large aperture high precision aperture lens, to reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations throughout the zoom range for improved clarity and colour accuracy. Featuring a rounded nine-blade diaphragm, it produces smooth out of focus areas. An internal focusing mechanism is controlled by a linear AF motor for fast, near-silent focusing performance, and a flourine coating has been applied to the front element to repel moisture.
This is complimented by a dust-, freeze-, and weather-resistant construction for piece of mind when working in changeable conditions. It also features a manual aperture ring for intuitive adjustment of exposure settings, and a C (Command) position can also be set for camera-based aperture setting.
