The Panasonic Lumix S Pro 70-200mm f/2.8 O.I.S is a L-Mount telephoto zoom with a focal length range well-suited to cover a variety of photography applications; when used with APS-C models, it provides a 105-300mm equivalent focal length range. Its bright f/2.8 constant maximum aperture provides consistent illumination throughout the zoom range and greater depth of field control. Optically, a combination of one aspherical element, two ultra extra-low dispersion elements, and three extra-low dispersion elements helps to control various aberrations throughout the zoom range to achieve imagery sharpness, clarity, and colour accuracy.

The optical performance is complemented by an impressively fast, precise, and silent autofocus performance that is delivered by a double focus system which employs both a linear motor and a stepping motor. The incorporation of a focus clutch mechanism provides for an almost instant switch between autofocus and manual focus settings. Its O.I.S (Optical Image Stabiliser) affords sharper handheld shooting by minimising the appearance of camera shake, supporting Dual I.S. and Dual I.S. 2.0 functions for increased stabilisation performance for up to about seven stops. This Lumis S Pro zoom sports a 11-blade diaphragm which contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality. With a weather-resistant design that renders it splash-, dust-, and freeze-proof, this lens is a workhorse which will tough it out with you in inclement weather conditions.

Besides front and rear lens caps, a lens hood, and a lens bag, a removable tripod collar is also supplied to benefit the lens to work atop a tripod or monopod.
