The Panasonic Lumix S PRO 24-70mm f/2.8 is a wide angle to short telephoto zoom lens designed for Leica's full-frame L-mount mirrorless cameras; on APS-C models, this lens provides a 36-105mm equivalent focal length range. Characterised by a constant bright f/2.8 maximum aperture, this Lumix S PRO lens maintains consistent illumination throughout the zoom range and also offers greater depth of field control. Its optical design, consisting of three aspherical elements and one ultra-high refractive (UHR) index element for minimising distortions and spherical aberrations, along with four extra-low dispersion (ED) elements for reducing chromatic aberrations and colour fringing, contributes to well-corrected imagery defined by high sharpness, accurate colour rendering, and marked clarity throughout the zoom and focus ranges.

Impressively fast, accurate, and silent autofocus performance can be attributed to the lens's double focus system which employs both a linear motor and a stepping motor. The manual clutch allows you to switch quickly between autofocus (AF) and manual focus(MF) modes by simply pushing or pulling the focusing range. Its rounded 11-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality in an image's out-of-focus areas.
