Voigtlander

50mm f/1 NOKTON Lens

For Canon RF Mount

NOKTON 50mm F1 Aspherical RF mount is an ultra-large aperture standard lens compatible with full-frame mirrorless cameras that uses Canon RF mount. While achieving the brightest F1 as Voigtlander's full-frame interchangeable lens, it also uses a GA (ground aspherical) lens to create a toned-down style

Equipped with an optical system optimized *1 for image sensors of mirrorless cameras that use Canon RF mount . This lens has a full-frame image circle and can be used with both full-frame and APS-C size mirrorless cameras.

GA (ground aspherical) lens and mechanism

The first lens surface uses a GA (ground aspherical) lens produced in-house. It is now possible to simplify the lens configuration while ensuring high performance.Despite its ultra-large aperture, it achieves both high-level image quality and a tight style. The mechanical part is also equipped with a floating mechanism, which allows shooting from the shortest shooting distance. Stable image quality can be obtained even for distant motifs.

Information communication with the body using electronic contacts

The lens mount is equipped with electronic contacts to enable electrical communication between the lens and the body. In combination with the Canon EOS R system body, it supports Exif information, in-body image stabilization (3-axis) *2 , and three types of focus assist functions (enlarged display, peaking, focus guide *3 ).

Manual focus allows for reliable focusing

The all-metal helicoid unit has been machined and adjusted with high precision, and uses high-quality grease that generates the right amount of torque to achieve focusing with a smooth operating feel. This allows for delicate focus adjustments.

Beautiful bokeh created by 12 aperture blades

In order to make the hole formed by the aperture blades more circular, a 12-element aperture is used. Out-of-focus areas are rendered naturally, and point light sources are not polygonal, but have a round, soft bokeh.

Aperture click switching mechanism

The aperture ring has a click switching mechanism that allows you to open and close the aperture smoothly without being affected by clicks, such as when shooting videos or adjusting the depth of focus.
