Ultra Wide-angle E-mount Prime for Full Frame Mirrorless Cameras

The Sony FE 24mm f/2.8 G lens is an ultra wide-angle E-mount prime lens with a 24mm focal length designed to deliver impressively high-resolution and sharp imagery with full-frame mirrorless cameras. On a APS-C model, this lens provides a 36mm equivalent focal length. Characterised by speed and ultra-compact form factor as well as a versatile focal length, this light and handy lens is ideal for every-day shooting of a variety of subjects, movie shooting with a gimbal, or self-shooting. A minimum focus distance of 24cm in autofocus mode/ 18cm om manual mode enables excellent close-up shooting. Optically, a combination of three aspherical elements and an extra-low dispersion element helps to suppress a range of aberrations, colour fringing and distortion.

A double linear motors design complements the optics by delivering quick, quiet, and accurate autofocus with superb tracking performance, thus rendering it suitably capable for capturing stills, such as street scences, as well as shooting movies. An internal focusing design means the overall length of the lens is maintained constant to allow ease of movie shooting with a gimbal or grip. 

Physically, this lens body and its hood feature an aluminium exterior finish which contributes to increased strength and durability. Furthermore, the lens is dust and moisture resistant for added reliability when working in inclement conditions. The compact body of the lens also features a customisable focus hold button for added user friendliness, a focus mode switch for instant switching between AF and MF modes, an aperture-ring click stops switch to enable de-click when silence is required during shooting, and a rotation ring for making intuitive and delicate manual focus adjustments. A seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing boken quality when employing selective focus techniques.

This G lens comes supplied with front and rear lens caps, and a lens hood.
