L-Mount Wide-angle Prime

The Panasonic Lumix S 35mm f/1.8 lens is a sleek and compact wide-angle prime designed for full-frame L-mount mirrorless cameras. It features a 35mm focal length that offers a similar angle of view to what a human sees. Combined with a 24cm minimum focusing distance, this lens is well-suited for a range of photographic applications from natural-looking close up shots to snapshots, street scenes and landscapes. On APS-C models, this lens provides a 52.5mm equivalent focal length. Its bright f/1.8 maximum aperture provides for better shallow depth of field control and working in dimmer conditions.

Optically, this eleven-elements-in-nine-groups lens features three aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements to minimise chromatic aberration and colour fringing for improved clarity, sharpness, and colour accuracy. This Lumix S lens offers high resolution sharpness and performance to support 4K video. A linear auto motor suppresses focus breathing to deliver smooth, precise, and quiet focusing performance. In addition, the micro-step aperture control for video applications affords smooth exposure changes. A programmable Focus Throw function permits programming the manual focus ring's rotation for a seamless move from infinite focus to close focus. For use in harsher environments, this lens is dust-, moisture, and freeze-resistant. It has a rounded nine-blade diaphragm which contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality when using selective focus technique.
