Z 5 + Nikkor Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR

Full Frame Mirrorless Camera & Zoom Kit

In this kit, the Nikon Z5 is paired with the Nikkor Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR zoom.

Nikon
packs a well-rounded feature set into the entry-level Z 5 Mirrorless Camera. Meeting both photo and video needs alike, the Z5 features a high-performing FX-format 24.3MP CMOS sensor and the EXPEED 6 Image Processing Engine to enable full-resolution continuous shooting at 4.5 fps and UHD 4K video at 30 fps, and affords a wide native sensitivity range of ISO 100-51200, which can be further expanded up to ISO 102400 for working in extreme low-light conditions. The combination of resolution and sensor size contributes to clean imagery and smooth colour transitions with less noise throughout the sensitivity range.

The sensor is designed with a 273-point hybrid autofocus system which utilises both phase-detection and contrast-detection methods for fast and accurate focus performance that supports both Eye Detection AF and Face Detection AF, thus benefitting both stills and video applications.  An integrated 5-axis Vibration Reduction mechanism compensates for up to five stops of stabilisation regardless of the lens used; an Electronic Vibration Reduction is available to enable more stable footage during handheld shooting. Z 5 also features a series of camera modes that may be used for creative effects: Creative Picture Controls provide a range of effects that can be added unto an image in a jiffy, Multiple Exposure mode allows a combination of several exposures into a single frame, while Focus Shift mode automatically captures a series of up to 300 sequential images from an advancing focus position in each shot to enable an extended depth of field effect when the images are stacked.

As with many mirrorless systems, the Z Series boasts a much more compact form factor than its DSLR counterparts. The physically sleek and versatile Z5 maintains the weather sealing and ergonomics, for which Nikon is known, in its magnesium alloy chassis to suit working in inclement weather. High-resolution eye-level viewing is permitted through a 3.6m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder while working from high and low angles is facilitated by the 3.2" 1.04m-dot tilting touchscreen LCD. For more fast and flexible storage, the Z5 features dual memory cards slots that support up to the UHS-II protocol for efficient and high speed photo and video file saving. Additionally, the body is equipped with both Wi-Fi and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) that works in conjunction with the Nikon SnapBridge app for wireless transfer of videos and photos and remote control of your camera.

Here, the Nikon Z 5 is kitted with the NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 by Nikon is a versatile 8.3x zoom, which covers wide-angle to telephoto focal lengths, rendering it suitable for a wide variety of shooting scenarios. Its advanced optical design features two aspherical extra-low dispersion elements, in addition to three aspherical elements and one aspherical ED element, to help reduce a range of aberrations and distortions throughout the zoom range in order to achieve high image sharpness and clarity. Aside for a Super Integrated Coating on multiple elements to promote colour accuracy, ARNEO and Nano Crystal Coatings have also been applied to control flare and ghosting for greater contrast and clarity in bright and backlit conditions.

Complementing the optics, a stepping motor provides quick, quiet, and precise autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus override to suit both stills and video applications. An internal focusing design enables only faster focusing speeds as well as maintain the overall length while in use. Benefitting working with fast continuous shooting rates, this Nikkor Z zoom features a specialised electromagnetic aperture mechanism to provide greater exposure control stability. A programmable control ring, which by default is set to adjust manual focus, can be set for intuitive adjustment over aperture or exposure compensation. The zoom features a rounded seven-blade diaphragm that promotes a pleasing out of focus quality when using the shallow depth of field and selective focus techniques. The lens barrel is both dust- and moisture-resistant to suit working in inclement conditions.
