Distinctly compact and light, the mirrorless Sony Alpha a7C camera features uncompromised full-frame image quality for both stills and movies, autofocus performance, and speed to render it an ideal everyday, all-round performer. Thanks to its full-frame 24.2 MP Exmor R BSI CMOS sensor and BIONZ X image processor, the a7C deliver superb colour reproduction with a wide 15-stop dynamic range, as well a wide sensitivity range of ISO 100-51200 that can be extended to ISO 50 - 204800. At medium and high-ISO sensitivities required for fast moving or poorly-lit subject, there is very effective noise reduction. A top 10 fps continuous shooting rate, along with UHD 4K video recording and full-pixel readout that allows oversampling equivalent to 6K recording for clean images, makes this a versatile camera. Moreover, the a7C is designed to support your creative expressions: Picture Profile provides a variety of settings options for capturing images, S-Log3 support captures a wide dynamic range of 14 stops to reveal fine detail in both shadows and highlights in post-production, and Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) enables direct HDR playback and workflow. The design of the sensor contributes to quick, intelligent, and precise autofocus performance capable intelligent subject tracking and Real-time Eye AF (autofocus) via 693 phase-detection points and 425 contrast-detection areas. Benefitting handheld shooting of stills and video, a 5-axis image stabilisation is incorporated to minimise the appearance of camera shake by up to 5 stops.
The sleeker physical profile of the a7C combines with an offset viewfinder and a streamlined top plate to mimic a rangefinder. The 0.39" electronic viewfinder with 2.36m-dot resolution is complemented by a rear 3.0" touchscreen LCD with a side-opening vari-angle design ideal for vlogging or taking selfies. The camera's magnesium alloy chassis is robust and durable as well as weather-sealed for reliable operation in a variety of weather conditions. Additionally, single memory card slot that supports working with SD UHS-II memory cards enables high-speed file transfer. Built-in Wi-Fi is available for remote camera control and instant image sharing, and support for both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands also enables wireless tethered shooting support. NFC (Near Field Communication) is also supported to allow simple, one-touch connection between camera and compatible mobile devices. When connected, the linked mobile device can display a live view image on its screen and remotely control the camera's shutter. Via the multi interface shoe, photographers with need for improved and clearer audio recording sound have the option of working with the separately available ECM-B1M Shotgun Microphone or XLR-K3M XLR Adapter Kit.
The Sony a7C is supplied with a rechargeable battery, AC adapter, USB Type-A to Type-C Cable, shoulder strap, accessory shoe cap, and a body cap for E-mount cameras.
