Z 7II Body

Full Frame Mirrorless Camera

An impressive mirrorless camera designed for high-end stills and video applications, the Nikon Z 7II is updated for improved processing and greater versatility whilst retaining the familiar Z 7 form. Combining a high resolution 45.7 FX-format BSI CMOS sensor and dual EXPEED 6 image processors, the Z 7II provides an ISO sensitivity range from a low of 64 for lush, rich capture to 25600, a range that can be further extended to 32 to 102400 for working in a variety of lighting conditions. Also, Z 7II is capable of a faster continuous shooting rate of up to 10 fps at 45.7 MP for up to 50 consecutive frames and features markedly reduced blackout times in the viewfinder. In terms of video capabilities, high resolution video recording is possible at Ultra HD 4K 60p, up to Full HD 120p is supported for slow-motion output, and external recording gains 10-bit out along with N-Log and HLG (HDR) support are available. In-body 5-axis sensor-shift VR (Vibration Reduction) compensates for up to 5 stops of camera shake to benefit handheld shooting and an Electronic VR function steadies handheld video recording. Previously available for photo applications only, the advanced phase-detect autofocus system utilising 493 points now avails the Eye and Face Detection for both humans and animals in Wide-Area AF modes for video recording as well. Additionally, the AF system permits focusing down to -4.5 EV, benefitting focusing in low-light. With a range of tools for expressing your creativity, the creative shooting modes include Multiple Exposure, 20 different Picture Control settings, and in-camera Timelapse recording. In addition, timed 900-second long exposures are possible without the need of an external remote in the Z 7II and there is a Focus Shift mode that enables recording of up to 300 sequential frames with the focus position shifted between exposures for focus stacking applications.

The complementary physical design now features a new dual memory card slot interface to hold one CFexpress Type B card and one SD UHS-II card for more flexible storage. You can also switch the rotation direction of the focus ring on the lenses now to suit your use. Other than that, it retains familiar attributes of its predecessor: a large 3.2" 2.1m-dot tilting LCD touchscreen for bright and clear image playback and live view shooting, a 3.69m-dot OLED electronic finder with a high 0.80x magnification and flourine coating for easier cleaning; a dot-matrix OLED low energy display helps keep important camera settings handy. The built-in SnapBridge wireless connectivity can connect the camera to mobile devices via BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and Wi-Fi for image sharing and live view image display from the camera. It can also be used to remotely trigger the camera and update firmware easily. The robust body of the Z 7II is constructed from magnesium alloy and is both dust- and weather-resistant for working in difficult conditions and inclement weather.
