AF-P NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR Lens
Telephoto Zoom Lens
The AF-P NiKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR from Nikon is a telephoto zoom lens of refined focusing performance that offers a coverage from portrait length to telephoto range. Designed for FX-formate Nikon F-mount DSLRs, it is also compatible with DX models where it provides a 105-450mm equivalent focal length range. In some cases, the cameras may require an update in firmware.
The optical design incorporates an extra-low dispersion element which noticeably reduces colour fringing and chromatic aberrations to achieve greater clarity and colour accuracy. In addition, application of a Super Integrated Coating to individual elements reduce internal reflections, flare and ghosting to bring about improved contrast and colour accuracy when working in harsh lighting conditions.
With an AF-P pulse motor that uses stepping motors to deliver smooth, quiet and quick autofocus perfomance, this lens is well-suited for both stills and video-recording. Manual focus override is available at all times for full control over focusing. Designed with an internal focusing, faster focusing speeds is achieveable as overall length of the lens during use is maintained. Benefitting handheld shooting in dimmer condition, the AF-P NiKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR features Vibration Reduction image stabilisation which minimises the appearance of camera shake by 4.5 stops. In addition, a specialised electromagnetic aperture mechanism benefits shooting with fast continuous rates by increasing exposure control stability. Last but not least, a rounded nine-blade diaghragm provides for a pleasing out of focus quality when using shallow depth of field and selective focus techniques.
