The silver 58mm f/1.4 SL II-S lens from Voigtlander is a manual focus prime lens for Nikon F-mount. A traditional construction and classic styling is combined with the latest optical lens technology and a bright maximum aperture of f/1.4, well-suited to working in low-lighting conditions and with shallow depth of field techniques. Used on an APS-C sized DSLR camera, this lens is equivalent to an 85mm lens in 35mm terms, making it ideal for portraits, travel, or photojournalism.

As part of the SL II series, it features a CPU (Central Processing Unit) to support 3D Matrix metering and matrix balanced fill flash on all SLR cameras, even DSLRs (in manual focus). This also means that the aperture is now controlled by the camera's command dial. An AI coupler is also present, making it compatible with older film cameras. A full metal mechanism ensures smooth manual focus operation.
