The 85mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art lens from Sigma is an impressive portrait-length prime lens for full-frame Nikon F mount, and can also be used with APS-C models where it will provide a 127.5mm equivalent focal length. As part of the Art line within Sigma's Global Vision series, it is designed to achieve outstanding optical performance. With a fast maximum aperture of f/1.4 it is well-suited to working in low light conditions, and is capable of creating images with shallow depth of field and smooth out of focus 'bokeh' areas to frame your subject, making it a fantastic choice for portraiture and other creative applications.

Optically it uses two SLD elements and one anomalous partial dispersion/high-refractive index element to correct chromatic aberrations throughout the focusing range for crisp, clear imagery. This optical design also helps to control distortion and limit vignetting. A Super Multi-Layer coating is also added to combat flare and ghosting, and a rounded 9-blade diaphragm helps to produce attractive bokeh.
