The XP 85mm f/1.2 from Samyang is a manual focus prime portrait-length lens for full-frame Canon EF-mount DSLRs, and can also be used on APS-C models where it will provide a 136mm equivalent focal length. With a fast maximum aperture of f/1.2, it is well-suited to working in low light conditions and with selective focus techniques. A nine-blade diaphragm produces smooth out of focus 'bokeh' areas.

Its impressive optical design features one aspherical element and a pair of high refractive index elements to reduce spherical aberrations and distortions while an Ultra Multi-Coating has been applied to individual elements to combat ghosting and flare for increased contrast and accurate colour. This is housed inside a durable and lightweight aluminium alloy exterior.
