150mm System Professional Kit

For use with NiSi 150mm Filter Holder

The NiSi Filters 150mm Professional Kit is the ultimate kit for landscape or seascape photographers. It’s ideal for anyone who wants to create long exposure images and use ND filters & GND filters. It can be combined with the separately available NiSi 150mm Filter Holder. The 150mm Starter Kit includes six filters, and represents a great saving compared to buying all the included items separately.

Using a square and rectangular filter system instead of standard round screw-on filters will allow you to use the same filters with many different sized lenses. Simply change your filter holder's adapter ring to suit your lens. It will also allow you to shift your filter up and down in the filter holder to fit the scene you are photographing, making it easier to match your filter to your horizon line or balance the light intensity in both parts of a scene.

These filters are specially designed for landscape photographers. Normally, when using a neutral density filter the camera is vulnerable to infrared light which can cause an unwanted red colour cast in images when shooting at small apertures. To prevent this, NiSi has added the infrared protection coating layer to this filter which helps to eliminate the infrared light through the lens to bring back the natural colour.

The 150x150mm ND64 (1.8) and ND1000 (3.0) Nano IR Neutral Density Filters feature a 1.8 and 3.0 density, to provide a 6 and 10 stop reduction in light from entering the lens, respectively. This is useful for creating long exposures, with an even light reduction across the frame. The 150x170mm GND8 (0.9) Nano IR Soft, Hard and Reverse Graduated Neutral Density Filters feature a 0.9 density, for a 3 stop reduction in light from entering the lens. The soft graduated filter is designed with a soft transition from being transparent on one end to being light-stopping on the other, making it a good choice for preventing over exposure of skies. The hard graduated filter features a hard transition from being transparent on one end to being light-stopping on the other, making it a good choice when working with a horizon line or scenes where there is a hard transition between sky and foreground. In contrast, the reverse filter features a dark area on the centre of the filter and gradually gets clearer to the top, while the bottom part of the filter is completely clear, preventing overexposure of the skyline. This makes a reverse ND filter a good choice for sunrise and sunset photography.

The 150x150mm HD Polariser Filter from NiSi is a square circular polariser designed for use with the NiSi 150mm filter holder. CPL filters are primarily designed to eliminate polarised light, producing increased colour saturation. This is particularly noticeable when photographing outdoor scenes, where a CPL filter will work to combat atmospheric fog to deepen the blue of the sky, highlight white clouds, and eliminate reflected light bringing detail back in to reflective surfaces such as water or glass.

Made from high quality optical glass, NiSi filters preserve every bit of detail and will not affect the colour of your image. They also features NiSi’s unique nano coating technology which reduces reflection on the surface of the filter to help with ghosting and flare. In addition, a protective layer makes it easy to wipe off water, dust, and oil from the filter without worrying about scratching your glass.

The NiSi Hard Case for 150x150mm or 150x170mm Filters is a high quality PU leather case for the NiSi 150mm system that can carry and store up to six 150x150mm or 150x170mm filters. Inside the case, each of the six filter slots can be used to hold a 150x170mm filter, or adapted to hold a 150x150mm filter.  The filter slots keep each individual filter safe and prevent them from scratching other filters in the case.

Finally, the Cleaning Eraser from NiSi is designed for cleaning square and rectangular filters. It features a 4x4cm cleaning head with a cleaning formula specially designed to remove oil. It comes with 2 spare cleaning pads and can also be used to clean your mobile phone, tablet, laptop or computer screen.
