LEE85 ND 0.9 Reverse Grad Filter

The LEE85 ND 0.9 Reverse Grad Filter from LEE Filters is designed for use with the LEE Filters LEE85 System Filter Holder. The reverse-graduated filter can be utilised to effectively darken bright skies, specifically during a sunrise or sunset, while maintaining a normal and unaffected exposure in the other areas of the image. The ND 0.6 Reverse Grad Filter provides a darker band of 0.9 density with a 3-stop light reduction above its center region. This band tapers upwards to a 1-stop reduction in light that is applicable to various regions of brightness within the sky. Directly below the band is a hard-edged line of transition which tapers to clear. This distribution of density enables a placement of the reverse-graduated filter to match the positioning of the sun when it is at, or just above, the horizon.

The LEE85 graduated optical-quality resin filters measures 85mm by 115mm and are 2mm thick. The additional length allows for adjustment of the filter within the holder. They do not affect the overall colouration of the image. All LEE ND's are meticulously hand-dyed each filter represents up to an hour of skilled work, as they are dipped in and out of baths of dye and results continuously monitored. You can stack any number of ND's together with other filters, to customise your LEE filter setup for any lighting situation.
