Filter Holder and Five Filters Kit
The 100mm System Deluxe Landscape Starter Kit from LEE Filters contains five filters to expand your creative control over your landscape photography. Included is a 105mm circular polariser, a 100 x 100mm 10-stop solid neutral density filter, and three 100 x 150mm graduated neutral density filters that reduce the amount of light entering your lens by up to four, three, and two stops.
Use the 105mm Landscape Circular Polariser Filter to reduce reflections and glare, as well as increase the overall saturation of your image. Featuring a slightly warm tone, it helps to enhance green, brown and gold tones, making it well-suited to outdoor and nature photography. Constructed from optical glass, it uses an aluminium filter ring. Due to its slim profile, this filter does not have front threads for stacking additional filters.
The 100 x 100mm 10-stop solid neutral density Big Stopper filter provides a 10-stop reduction in exposure. This 3.0 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. Slow your exposure time or increase your aperture to control depth of field and convey movement.
Both the four and two-stop graduated neutral density filters feature a medium transition in density, while the three-stop graduated neutral density filter uses a hard-edged transition. These filters are densest at the edge and taper to clear by the middle, with medium and hard indicating the line of transition between dense and clear areas. They can be used to darken specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image. Together they offer a versatile solution for various lighting conditions and horizon lines.To allow these neutral density filters to be placed in front of your lens, the Deluxe Kit also contains a filter holder for rectangular filters that are 100mm wide and 2mm thick. Also included is an adapter ring to connect the circular polariser to the filter holder, as well as soft pouches for the filter holder, circular polariser filter, solid ND filter, and a microfibre filter wrap for the three graduated ND filters.
Please note that to connect the filter holder to your lens's front filter threads, a separately-available LEE Filters lens adapter ring is required.
