Sofort (Mint)
Instant film camera
The mint Sofort from Leica is an instant film camera, offering a new way to instantly develop and share your images. Designed with Leica's high-end signature style, it is compatible with a selection of Instax mini format film, including colour and monochrome film from Leica with a Warm White border. It uses an Automatik-Hektor 60mm f/12.7 lens, equivalent to 34mm in full-frame terms, with a three-zone manual focus selector to give you full control.
The Sofort features a compact body with intuitive buttons and a 0.37x optical viewfinder with target spot and macro parallax compensation for composing your images. Multiple automatic shooting modes make the Sofort easy to use. These include Automatic, Self-Portrait, People & Party, Action & Sport, Bulb, Self-Timer with 2 or 10 second delay, Double Exposure, and a Macro mode, making it possible to focus down to 0.3 m. While optimised for available light photography, it uses a mechanical shutter with speeds from 1/400 to as long as 1/8 second and a built-in flash with a later firing speed for a more natural look.
Photographers wanting more control can use the exposure compensation setting which can be set to -0.7 or +0.7 EV. An integrated 1/4"-20 thread on the base of the camera makes it possible to use it with a tripod, and strap lugs make it easy to attach a strap and carry around all day. It uses a rechargeable Li-ion battery pack for approximately 100 shots before needing to be recharged.
