The black Tough TG-6 from Olympus is a compact digital camera that is built for reliable tough performance and designed for greater versatility for shooting anytime and anywhere.

This rugged camera is an ideal companion to accompany you on your adventures, whereever they may take you. Its tough construction is waterproof to a depth of 15m, shockproof to 2.1m, dustproof, crushproof to 100kgf, freezeproof to -10°C and features anti-fogging owing to a dual-pane protective glass constructions. The tough exterior is accompanied by a 1.04million dot high-definitiion rear LCD monitor whose brightness and colour saturation has been optimally adjusted for outdoor viewing. Further supporting your outdoor adventures is the inclusion of the Field Sensor System, which uses sensors on the camera to display various tracking information, even when it is turned off.

Complementing its capacity to weather tough conditions, is TG-6's ability to produce high quality images through a combination of the high speed f/2 zoom lens, a hi-speed back-lit CMOS image sensor capable of impressive high-sensitivity performance and the TruePic VIII image processor to minimise noise levels and improve resolution in low contrast areas. Enhancing the camera's image capture versatility, the Variable Macro System features four modes so you would not miss much. Boasting a minimum focus distance of only 1 cm and a maximum shooting magnification of 7x, you can capture high quality images of minute details in the Microscopic Mode that may otherwise elude the naked eye. The versatility of TG-6 extends to underwater photography with five underwater shooting modes. With the possibility to photograph endless, you can keep track by turning on a feature that enables you to embed time and date into your still shots.

This tough model also supports advanced video recording options with 4k Movie and High-speed Movie functions. You can extract full pixel 4k still images from high definition recording captured with 4K Movie, or choose to record your videos with High-speed Movie at 120 fps in high quality Full HD, 240 fps in HD format, or 480 fps in SD format.

A new separately available Fisheye Converter FCON-T02 for circular fish-eye photography that is capable of underwater functioning is added to a list of accessories to boast the camera's shooting possibilities. Other separately available accessories on the list include a new Lens Barrier/Cover LB-T01 to protect the lens surface from dirt and scratches, a Silicone Jacket CSCH-127 to protect the camera's body from scratches and improve grip, and an Underwater Case, PT-059 exclusively designed for Tough TG-6 to extend the depth of its underwater use to 45m.
