Compact Digital Camera with Large Zoom

The Nikon Coolpix P950 compact digital combines stills and video capabilities with a large zoom for impressive reach. Characterised by a back-illuminated (BSI) 16MP 1/2.3" CMOS sensor, the P950 is capable of high-resolution stills imagery with increased clarity and reduced noise levels when working within the expandable ISO 100-6400 sensitivity range. A combination of the sensor and EXPEED processor enables quick continuous stills shooting of up to 7fps at full resolution to render it ideal for working with moving subjects, UHD 4k video at up to 30 fps, Full HD video at up to 60 fps, and in-camera time-lapse recording and movie creation.

The distinguishing 83x optical zoom lens complements the imaging capabilities by providing a huge wide-angle to super telephoto 24-2000mm equivalent focal length range. When using Dynamic Fine Zoom, this range is effectively doubled to 166x for reaching and isolating distant subjects. A bright f/2.8 design and Dual Detect VR (Vibration Reduction) supports sharper handheld shooting in available lighting during operation at the wide-angle end. Furthermore, the 16-elements-in-12-groups optical design includes Super ED (extra-dispersion) glass for improving sharpness and clarity by suppressing a variety of aberrations throughout the zoom range.

The compact camera body incorporates a bright 2.36m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder for clear eye-level monitoring, a large 3.2" 921k-dot LCD touchscreen with vari-angle design for working from high, low, and front-facing angles, and built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, which work in conjunction with Nikon's SnapBridge app, to permit wirelss file transferring and remote camera control from a linked mobile device.

The P950 comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, an charging ac adapter, a USB Type-A male to Type-B micro male cable, a Nikon AN-DC3 black camera strap, snap-on lens cap and lens hood.
