This Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 DC DN Contemporary Lens is designed for Leica L-mount cropped mirrorless cameras, offering a versatile wide-angle to short telephoto 27-75mm full-frame equivalent zoom range. Coupled with a wide constant aperture of f/2.8 that suits working in dimmer conditions and provides improved control over depth of field, this lens is ideal for a wide range of photo and video applications, including landscaps, portraits, street photography, architecture, and social events.

Optically, the lens design features three high-precision glass-molded aspherical elements and a special low dispersion element for sharper, clear, and more accurate imagery, without weighing the lens down. An in-camera aberration correction further eliminates optical imperfections such as distortion and vignetting. Additionally, a Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting to improve contrast and colour accuracy, especially benefitting working in harsh lighting conditions.

Complementing the optics the lens's stepping motor provides for markedly fast and almost silent autofocus performance to suit a range of photographic and video recording applications. A very short minimum focusing distance of 12.1 cm and a 1:2.8 maximum magnification ratio enables macro-style close-up shooting while a rounded seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.

This lens comes supplied with a lens cap, rear cap, and lens hood. It is also compatible with separately available Sigma UD-11 USB Dock for updates.
