The Lumix G Vario 14-140mm f/3.5-5.6 II ASPH. POWER O.I.S. from Panasonic is a versatile all-in-one zoom lens designed for use with Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras where it will provide a 28-280mm equivalent focal length range. The lens features three aspherical elements and a pair of extra-low dispersion elements to reduce chromatic aberrations and distortions for greater image sharpness and clarity. Multi-coatings have also been applied to individual lens elements to minimise lens flare and ghosting, and a rounded seven-blade diaphragm produces smooth out-of-focus areas when working with shallow depth of field techniques.

A stepping motor ensures autofocus is fast and quiet, benefitting both stills and video recording. This is complimented by an internal focusing design that maintains the overall lens length during operation. The AF system is also compatible with Lumix cameras' high-speed contrast-detection systems for focusing speeds up to 240 fps. Additionally, the POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabiliser) works to compensate for camera shake, allowing for sharper handheld shooting. All this is housed inside a splash and dust-resistant body.
