The optical construction includes one Super High Refractive element as well as one aspherical element to minimise chromatic aberrations for notable clarity and sharpness. An extremely bright and fast maximum aperture of f/0.95 makes it ideally suited to working in low-light conditions and with shallow depth of field techniques. Ten aperture blades form a nearly circular diaphragm in order to produce pleasing out of focus 'bokeh' areas, and a minimum focusing distance of 23cm supports working with close-up subject matter.
