The Panasonic Lumix Leica D G Summilux 25mm f/1.4 II ASPH. is 50mm equivalent prime lens designed for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras. Characterised by a fast f/1.4 maximum aperture, this lens benefits working in dimmer lighting conditions and offers a greater depth of field control. Its optical design incorporates two aspherical elements and one ultra-high refractive (UHR) index element for minimising distortions and spherical aberrations, along with a Nano Surface Coating on its elements to suppress lens flare and ghosting for greater contrast in very strong lighting.

Benefitting both stills and video applications, the prime lens's impressively fast, accurate, and near-silent autofocus performance can be attributed to its focusing system which consist of a stepping autofocus motor and an internal focus design.
