X-T4 (Silver) + XF 23mm f/2 R WR (Silver)
Digital Mirrorless Camera Body & Wide-angle Prime Lens Kit
Here, the silver Fujifilm X-T4 is kitted with the silver wide-angle XF 23mm f/2 R WR lens.
The Fujifilm X-T4 is a versatile cropped mirrorless camera characterized by its high-speed performance, more-than-capable imaging, and multimedia flexibility. Like its predecessor, the X-T3, this newer model is designed for videographers and action photographers alike. But the X-T4 offers new features and upgrades that sets it apart.
Revolving around the proven and well-regarded APS-C format 26.1MP X-Trans CMOS 4 and X-Processor 4, both high-resolution stills and DCI/UHD 4K video can be recorded. The sensor features a back-illuminated design, to promote greater image quality throughout the ISO 160 - 12800 sensitivity range, along with an autofocus system with 425 selectable phase-detection points that are combined with a contrast-detection system for quick, precise autofocus (AF) performance in a variety of lighting conditions down to -6 EV. New algorithms for autofocus improves eye- and face-tracking. Complementing the imaging and focusing, the X-Processor 4 uses four CPUs for faster image processing as well as continuous shooting up to 15 fps with a re-engineered and quieter mechanical shutter, 30 fps shooting at a 1.25x crop and electronic shutter, and internal 4K60p 10-bit video recording. A new 240 fps ultra slow-motion mode (in 1080p) joins the 120 fps frame rate available in X-T3 for extra choice and room for creativity.
An important addition to the X-T4 is a built-in 5-axis sensor shift imaging stabilisation (IS) system that complements all aspects of image production by reducing the appearance of camera shake up to 6.5 stops. Working with most X Series lenses, including non-stabilised ones, the integrated IS system benefits working with slower shutter speeds and shooting in difficult lighting conditions. For video recording, 4-axis digital IS is available to steady footage, benefitting especially handheld situations. Moreover, adding to the supported 10-bit colour depth, the X-T4 also includes the F-Log gamma setting that maximises the potential dynamic range in difficult scenes. This permits image adjustments to the highlight tone, shadow tone, colour, and sharpness.
Like previous X-T cameras, the X-T4 retains its classically inspired looks and prominent tactile controls, and features a similarly competent OLED electronic viewfinder design with 3.69m-dot resolution and a high 0.75x magnification as its predecessor. This finder has a high refresh rate of 100 fps for fluid viewing and tracking. A higher resolution rear 3.0" 1.64m-dot LCD monitor can also be used for clearer live view shooting and image playback. Its new vari-angle, fully articulated design is advantageous for working from high and low shooting angles as well as enables selfies and vlogging. Conversely, the screen can be flipped against the camera body when you need it hidden from view.
An array of locking dials and levers on the top plate provides for fast, intuitive control over exposure settings; the dedicated shutter speed, ISO, and exposure compensation dials offers direct settings adjustments, even when the camera is off. For easier use and settings selection, front and rear command dials integrate a push function. Of note, movie mode now receives its own placement on one of the X-T4's dials, permitting you to simply and swiftly switch between the separated settings and Q button preferences for stills and video. The camera also features a 3.5 mm microphone jack and 2.5mm remote port with included headphone adapter for more advanced audio solutions. Additionally, the X-T4 also sports built-in Bluetooth for wireless sharing and remote control, while the dual SD UHS-II memory card provides for file-saving flexibility. An updated, high capacity NP-W235 battery provides about 500 shots per charge in normal mode, or 600 shots in economy mode; high speed USB PD charging is supported by the integrated USB-C type connector. The X-T4 offers twelve Film Simulation modes, including the new Eterna Bleach Bypass. This new mode refines the look of standard Eterna with a higher key and higher contrast feeling while keeping the overall desaturated look.
Other than the aforementioned headphone adapter and battery, a USB cable, shoulder strap, body cap, hot shoe cover, vertical grip connection, memory card slot cover, and a sync terminal cover are also included with the capable X-T4.
The accompanying XF 23mm f/2 R WR Lens from Fujifilm is a fast, compact and weather resistant wide-angle prime. Optimised for use with X-series mirrorless cameras using APS-C sensors, it offers a versatile 35mm equivalent perspective, ideal in a variety of shooting situations and favoured for street photography. This is complimented by a fast maximum aperture of f/2 that makes it possible to work in difficult lighting conditions and with shallow depth of field for selective focus techniques.
Optically the 10-element-in-6-group design includes two aspherical elements to control distortions and aberrations to produce clear, sharp imagery. A Super Electron Beam Coating coating has also been applied to minimise flare and ghosting. A rounded 9-blade diaphragm produces smooth and pleasing out of focus 'bokeh' areas.
Focusing is fast, accurate and near-silent thanks to an internal focusing stepping motor AF system which can achieve focus in as little as 0.05 seconds. Weather seals are placed about the lens barrel to protect against dust, moisture, and temperatures as low as -10°C.
The XF 23mm f/2 R WR Lens comes with front and rear lens caps, lens hood and wrapping cloth.
