Mirrorless Digital Camera Kit
The X-T30 from Fujifilm is a mirrorless digital camera featuring an APS-C-format 26.1MP X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor and an updated X-Processor 4 to capture high-resolution still images and 4K video. The sensor offers a native ISO 160 setting for working in low-light conditions, and omits an optical low-pass filter for impressive image quality and sharpness, with reduced moiré and aliasing. Meanwhile, the processor ensures faster image processing and overall performance speed.
A phase-detection autofocus system offers 425 selectable points that cover almost the entire sensor area for fast and accurate focusing, along with low-light sensitivity down to EV -3. This is complimented by a faster focus response time for subject tracking and Face- and Eye-Detection AF when working in AF-C mode and when recording video.
You'll be able to capture up to 8 fps with a mechanical shutter or 30 fps with an electronic shutter and a 1.25x crop, and internal UHD 4K30 video recording with F-Log is also supported for use in advanced colour grading software during editing. Record DCI 4K30 and Full HD 1080p120 and save files using either MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 or HEVC/H.265 compressions, and 4K.
All this is housed inside a classic body, with physical controls including a shutter speed dial, mode dial, exposure compensation dial, and a command dial. A high-resolution 2.36m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder offers a 0.62x magnification with a fast refresh rate, wide viewing angle, and adjustable diopter settings, and a rear 3.0" 1.04m-dot tilting touchscreen LCD is also added for live view shooting and reviewing your images, as well as adjusting your settings. The X-T30 also features built-in Bluetooth for wireless sharing and remote control.
Here the X-T30 is kitted with the XF 56mm f/1.2 R Lens from Fujifilm. A prime portrait-length lens for use with Fujifilm APS-C sized mirrorless digital cameras, it will provide a 35mm equivalent focal length of 85mm. A bright maximum aperture of f/1.2 makes this lens well suited to working in low-light conditions, and with selective focus control techniques. A seven-blade rounded diaphragm produces pleasing out of focus 'bokeh' areas when working with shallow depth of field.
One double-sided aspherical element, two extra-low dispersion elements, and four front-facing convex elements are integrated into the optical design to reduce chromatic aberrations and to benefit overall image clarity and sharpness. An HT-EBC multi-layer coating helps to minimise ghosting and lens flare and an additional coating has been applied to the rear side of the front-most lens element to further reduce ghosting that is common to lens designs with deep concave elements.
The internal focusing system, as well as the use of a stepping AF motor, ensures quiet, smooth, and precise focusing capabilities that are ideal for both still and video applications. When used with an X-series camera that features a Lens Modulation Optimizer (LMO) function, the lens' performance is enhanced to deliver consistent illumination and sharpness throughout the aperture range.
