OM-D E-M1 Mark II Body Only Silver Limited Edition
Micro Four Thirds Mirrorless Digital Camera
The OM-D E-M1 Mark II from Olympus is a fast and robust micro four thirds mirrorless camera with versatile video and still capability. Released as a limited edition, this silver OM-D E-M1 Mark II is designed to commemorate Olympus' 100th anniversary. This special edition OM-D E-M1 Mark II will be limited to only 2,000 units worldwide and is otherwise identical to the black E-M1 Mark II.
A 20.4MP Live MOS sensor works alongside the TruePic VIII image processor for an impressive 60 fps continuous raw file shooting rate with an electronic shutter, 18 fps with continuous autofocus, and 15 fps with a mechanical shutter. Both DCI and UHD 4K recording modes are available, and Time-lapse Movie makes it possible to create in-camera 4K time-lapse. Audio recording is possible using the built-in stereo microphone, and both an external mic jack and headphone jack are available for improved audio monitoring.
With Pro Capture Mode, start recording and buffering full-resolution JPEG or raw images prior to fully depressing the shutter. When the shutter is pressed halfway, frames will start to be recorded. Once you fully press the shutter, your image will be saved, along with the previous 14 frames. It is also possible to hold the shutter button in this mode to keep shooting continuously using the silent electronic shutter function. Interval shooting is also supported for up to 999 frames with 1 second to 24-hour exposure intervals.
With the sensor and processor combination the E-M1 mkII has a top expanded sensitivity of ISO 25600, and sensor-shift-type 5-axis image stabilisation to reduce the appearance of camera shake by up to 5.5 stops when shooting hand held. This is particularly beneficial when working with telephoto lenses, macro imagery, and long exposures.
A Dual F.A.S.T. autofocus system uses 121 on-chip cross-type phase-detection points, along with 121 contrast-detection areas for fast and precise focusing and subject tracking. A single button can be used to switch between focusing modes, and manual focus users can enjoy live view magnification and focus peaking controls for improved accuracy.
All this is housed inside a durable weather-resistant magnesium alloy body with 2.36m-dot electronic viewfinder and 3.0" 1.04m-dot vari-angle LCD touchscreen. Built-in Wi-Fi further expands sharing and remote shooting capabilities, and dual SD card slots and a USB 3.0 Type C port expand file saving and tethered shooting options.
