The Tether Tools TetherPro USB 3.0 Active Extension Cable is a 16' USB 3.0 to Female Active Extension cable is designed with the highest USB specifications to filter out signal noise and reduce transmission errors. Furthermore, it is full shielded to protect against external signal interference. As an active extension device, it can be daisy-chained with a passive 15' USB cable for a total of 31' before any drop-off in quality or signal is detected. In fact, signal quality can be maintained for up to 79' by daisy-chaining up to four active USB extensions and one 15' passive USB cable. Simply plug the male end of the Active Extension Cable into your computer and plug your camera or other device's USB cable into the female end of the extension cable in a way such that the repeater is closest to the device and not the computer. Thus any additional Active Extension increments is inserted from the female end of the existing Active Extension Cable for desired distance. While offering a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 5Gbit/s signalling rate, which increases performance over hi-speed USB by 10 times, the cable is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0.
