The FiftyFifty Under/Over Dome for GoPro Hero 5 is a creative accessory from PolarPro that is designed to allow you to capture creative split-level photos and videos while shooting in water. The FiftyFifty works by pushing water away from your camera lens to capture what is under and over the water line. It features a latch system that makes installation easy, and an included grip will ensure your camera floats when using the dome.
When using the FiftyFifty for the first time don't be discouraged if your first set of photos isn't perfect. Shooting with this dome takes practice. A dome by nature is going to introduce more ways for light to reflect off and enter the Hero 5 camera's lens. To reduce flaring always try to shoot with the sun behind you. PolarPro also recommend practicing your framing with the dome to get used to how your shots are going to look when you hold the dome at different angles and levels. Be sure to try out different field of view settings and video vs. photos to get a feel for what your content is going to look like before shooting in the field.
Please note that the FiftyFifty is not intended for diving as the Hero 5 is only waterproof down to 33 feet (11 metres).
