Filmmaker Upgrade Software Key

The DMW-SFU2 is a Filmmaker Upgrade Software Key that unlocks a range of advanced video functions to further expand on the video performance of the Panasonic DC-S1 full-frame mirrorless camera. With installation of the software key, the S1 gains access to the use of V-log L gamma and V-Gamut, which offer a flat colout profile and a wider, approximately 15-stop dynamic range for greater control during post-production colour grading. Additionally, the gamma improves colour matching with existing VariCam systems that feature standard V-Log as both profiles employ the same characteristic curve and LUT.  Also, recording 4K60 video with 4:2:2 10-bit sampling to an external recorder over HDMI, along with 4K30/24 video recording with 4:2:2 10-bit sampling, become available with the upgrade.

Note that this upgrade is designed for use with NTSC-area cameras only and can only be used on one camera. It is compatible with the Lumix DC-S1, not the Lumix DC-S1R.
