This V-Log L Function Activation Code from Panasonic is designed to maximise the dynamic range of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4, DC-GH5, or DMC-FZ2500. With this upgrade Panasonic has responded to requests from professional videographers and the film production market for V-Log L video recording. Now, purchase of this Activation Code will allow users to activate Ver 2.4 of the new GH4 firmware.

This code, which is delivered on a physical card, allows you to easily install the V-Log L gamma onto the camera. Log recording offers exceptional flexibility as well as a wider dynamic range for colour grading in post-production process, improving upon the range previously attainable with the GH4, GH5, or FZ2500. Taking full advantage of Four Thirds sensor, V-Log L boasts the log characteristic with 12 stops. The addition of this gamma also allows users to better match colour with existing Varicam systems that feature standard V-Log, as both profiles utilise the same characteristic curve and LUT. Additionally, V-Log / V-Log L has been developed to feature similar characteristic curves to Cineon, which is a characteristic curve of film digitalisation.

Updating your camera is a stepped process similar to updating your firmware; although, you will need this activation code along with your camera's serial code to generate an upgrade key from Panasonic's Update Portal.
