Circular Polarizer Filter

This 95mm F-Pro HTC CPL KSM MRC Filter from B+W is primarily designed to eliminate polarized light, producing increased colour saturation. This is particularly noticeable when photographing outdoor scenes, where a CPL filter will work to combat atmospheric fog to deepen the blue of the sky, highlight white clouds, and eliminate reflected light bringing detail back in to reflective surfaces such as water or glass.

Kaesemann High Transmission Circular (HTC) polarizing filters are fitted with polarizing foils which provide 99.5% light transmission and are cemented between plano-parallel optical glass. This is then precision-polished to achieve accurate plano-parallel surfaces. Finally, they are edge-sealed to protect the foil against humidity.

B+W filters are constructed from Schott glass for increased optical clarity and accurate colour. To prevent internal ghosting and reflections, each glass surface includes multiple layers of anti-reflection coating. This Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) also offers further protection to the filter substrate and helps it to stay clean for longer than with uncoated filters.

This filter also features an F-Pro brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention. It will not affect picture colour, and is slim enough to avoid vignetting when used with most wide angle lenses. All filters will also offer a degree of protection for the front element of your lens against moisture, dust and scratching.

Please note that a 2 to 2.8x filter factor reduces your exposure by 1 to 1.5 stops. It is supplied with a plastic storage case for protection during transport.
