Sigma's EX DG filters are multi-layered and developed to counteract highly reflective image sensors. With older filters there used to be a problem with reflections between the lens and filter elements creating a ghost image. The multi-layer coating reduces this effect. Optimum colour reproduction and designed for use on digital cameras.
Multi-coated UV filter eliminates harmful ultra-violet light and can be used on colour and black and white film as well as digital sensors. It is also a recommended general protective filter for your lens.
