Sigma's EX DG filters are multi-layered and developed to counteract highly reflective image sensors. With older filters there used to be a problem with reflections between the lens and filter elements creating a ghost image. The multi-layer coating reduces this effect. Optimum colour reproduction and designed for use on digital cameras.
The circular polarizer helps eliminate reflections from glass and water and deepens blue skies - avoiding that 'washed out' effect.
