Neutral Density Filter
The 67mm XS-Pro MRC ND8 (0.9) Neutral Density Filter from B+W is specially designed to reduce all different wavelengths of light for an even reduction in exposure. This allows your shutter speed to be slowed, which is particularly useful when photographing water and tides, or when a dramatic effect is desired. With a 0.9 density, it will provide a 3 stop reduction in light from entering the lens. Neutral density filters do not affect the colouration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.
B+W filters are constructed from Schott glass for increased optical clarity and true colour. The filter uses the XS-Pro mount which is an extra-wide design specially suited for DSLRs with wide angle and zoom lenses, and should avoid vignetting concerns with most 17mm lenses on a full frame body. All XS-Pro Digital mounts are made of brass and are matte black to prevent reflections. To further reduce the possibility of vignetting when this filter is in use, the filter ring's outside diameter is slightly larger than the actual thread size. This may prevent the use of some lens manufacturer bayonet hoods.
Featuring Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) with Nano Technology, the nano coating is an outer layer of protection that comes standard with all XS-Pro Digital MRC filters. MRC by B+W is not only an extraordinarily effective multiple layer coating, it is also harder than glass so that it helps to protect filters from scratches, and it is also water and dirt repellent. The Nano coating associated with XS-Pro filters provides an additional eighth layer over the MRC to produce a better beading effect with water making the cleaning of this filter quick and easy.
