Colour Conversion Filter
The 62mm 81A Slim Filter from Heliopan is a colour conversion filter that works to control the bluish colouration that affects daylight film. This salmon coloured filter can be used to bring skin tones back to a flattering tone when the light changes during the day. This is particularly useful under cloudy or open shade conditions since as the light changes, so does the colour temperature. An 81A will decrease the colour temperature by approximately 100 degrees Kelvin less than an 81B filter. An 81A filter will replace some of the yellow missing from the image and bring skin tones back to a more appealing level. The cloudier the day, the warmer the filter required to eliminate the blue tint often found on such days. An 81A can also be used with electronic flash to reduce the amount of blue generated by the flash.
The filter uses Schott glass, to ensure your images are sharp and clear, with true colour and contrast. The brass mounting ring is built with a slim mount design that helps to prevent vignetting when used on wide-angle lenses.
