This 52mm Slim Circular Polarizer SH-PMC Filter from Heliopan is primarily designed to eliminate polarized light, producing increased colour saturation. This is particularly noticeable when photographing outdoor scenes, where a CPL filter will work to combat atmospheric fog to deepen the blue of the sky, highlight white clouds, and eliminate reflected light bringing detail back in to reflective surfaces such as water or glass. It will not affect picture colour, and supports full use of your camera's autofocus and auto exposure functions. All filters will also offer a degree of protection for the front element of your lens against moisture, dust and scratching.The filter uses Schott glass, to ensure your images are sharp and clear, with true colour and contrast. The SH-PMC multi-coating provides a total of 16 coatings, 8 per side, for significant reflection reduction (below 0.2%) as well as dust and moisture repellence for easier cleaning. The brass mounting ring features calibration dots to help with finding consistent rotational positioning when TTL viewing is not possible, and the ring is built with a slim mount design measuring 5mm-thick, that helps to prevent vignetting when used on wide-angle lenses. It does not feature front threads for mounting additional filters or lens caps.
