Canon EF 100mm F2.8L-IS
Canon has recently poured all of its latest technology,
including the debut of its new Hybrid Image Stabiliser system, into
a 100mm Macro lens, which affords ultra-crisp close-range
images.
Ever since its launch in late-2009, the EF 100mm 2.8L
has been an absolute hit with pro photographers around the world,
and as a result, Canon is systematically applying these
technological advances to the rest of its range.
The L-series of lenses, identifiable by the red stripe around
the lens, has always provided that extra bit of quality (at a
slight premium, of course) which professionals appreciate. The
build quality and construction materials are head and shoulders
above the standard range, and this only translates into better
photography.
Featuring Ultra-low Dispersion (UD) lenses and a nine-blade
circular aperture, this lens makes sure your subjects stand out -
removing colour aberrations and providing a subtle, yet effective
background blur.
This lens does not replace any existing macro lenses in the
Canon lineup, but instead supplements the range as the first macro
in the L-series.
